The mission of Purdy Elementary PTA is to help students realize their full potential by engaging and empowering families through organizing volunteer and financial support for school programs and activities that enhance the educational opportunities of Purdy’s students, staff and community. Purdy PTA is an advocate for all students attending Purdy Elementary and Peninsula Public Schools.

President – Lindsay Reynolds

Vice President – Kelsea Andrus
Kelsea is a proud mom of two Purdy students and wife to a Purdy employee, so she’s very excited to serve this community and get connected! She is a happy homemaker, church member, jack of all hobbies (master of none, but has a great time trying), and lover of kitty cats. Her favorite things to do with her family include camping, road trips, board games, and crafting. She is excited to take on a more involved role in the PTA this year, with her youngest in school full time, and can’t wait to join this community of amazing parents, staff, and students at Purdy Elementary!

Treasurer – Maria Beaudette
Maria is the Treasurer for this academic year and has been part of the Purdy community since 2019. This marks her fifth year on the PTA board. Maria has two daughters, with one currently enrolled at Purdy, who are in the 5th and 7th grades. In her professional life, she works full-time as the Director of Finance for a wealth management firm. Additionally, she contributes her time as a board member for Little Lambs Preschool at Agnus Dei Lutheran. Outside of her many responsibilities, Maria enjoys walking her dogs, camping in the picturesque Pacific Northwest, and painting with watercolor and gouache.

Secretary – Kari Thomas
Kari joined the PTA in 2025 when her oldest daughter started kindergarten at Purdy Elementary. She is proud to serve as a member of the PTA Board this year, especially as her younger daughter will join the Purdy family in fall 2027. With a background in marketing and communications and nearly 20 years of working in the nonprofit world, Kari is excited to put her experience to work supporting Purdy students, families, and staff. In her free time, Kari enjoys walking her dog, Shutterfly scrapbooking, listening to audiobooks, and eating Greek and Italian takeout.

Member at Large & Parent District Council Rep – Lindsay Gathmann
Lindsay is currently a stay at home mom to a 1st grader/unemployed workaholic. She fills her time volunteering, orca hunting, running half marathons, and taking slow walks with her geriatric dog. Lindsay is a member of a few book clubs and raises a flock of backyard chickens. If she could possibly have any more fun, she enjoys hiking, paddle boarding and a beer with a view anywhere with her incredible husband Chris! She is basically living her best life here in Gig Harbor!

Member at Large – Dana Johnston
Dana has a daughter in 4th grade this year at Purdy and became involved with the PTA in 2025. She is excited to continue supporting the school and becoming even more involved in the Purdy community. Dana works in the commercial finance industry. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, along with her two dogs. She also loves traveling, attending concerts, and planning parties.
