Penguin Patch Shop!

The PTA is proud and excited to add another fun holiday event for Purdy Students! During the week of December 9th – 13th studentswill have an opportunity to shop for gifts at our Penguin Patch Holiday Shop! The Shop will be located on the stage in the gym during lunch and recess from 11:30 – 12:30. Participation is completely optional. Gifts range in price from 25 cents to $15, and there is something for everyone.

This week, look for a flyer and a budget envelope to come home with your student. You can even make the budget envelope a fun math lesson for your student! Students can have funds to use at the shop with:

  1. Cash inside their envelope
  2. A check inside their envelope (made out to Purdy Elementary PTA – note, no change can be given if paying via check)
  3. Penguin Pay:  https://penguinpatch.com/penguinpay/TGKQMP

We are so excited to host this amazing event! We need elves (volunteers!) to run our shop each day! Please sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0A4CAFA922A3F8CE9-53512221-purdy#/

Peninsula Hands on Art

Each school year, Peninsula Hands On Art provides four unique art projects for students. These projects are taught through films by local artists and
facilitated in the classroom by trained volunteer parent docents (that’s you!). Students receive high-quality materials and specialized lessons, and are guided through each project, resulting in an original piece of art to take home or display at school. Along the way, students gain a deeper understanding of visual arts, culture, and history, and enjoy the rewards of the creative process. Parent volunteers attend a training session for each project, where they engage in a hands-on experience to prepare for their classroom role. Peninsula Hands On Art provides all training materials and art supplies. Our first project of the school year, “Gustav Klimt Birch Trees,” will have its training session on Thursday, September 26th, from 7-9 pm at Swift Water.
Check out this year’s projects at our website www.peninsulahandsonart.org

Purdy Fun Run!

At Purdy Elementary, students are at the heart of everything we do! The PTA Fun Run fundraiser is more than a day of fun – it’s a chance for our community to come together and invest in our school to ensure we have the resources our students and staff need to thrive in and out of the classroom. The funds raised will go directly towards events, supplies, and experiences that make learning exciting and impactful. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year.

Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to achieving our goal. Whether you sponsor a runner, make a one-time gift, or encourage others to give – we appreciate your generosity. There are processing fees cash and checks also accepted.

Register for the Fun Run Here!

Your donations will help pay for:
Art, PE, Music, STEM
Teacher grants
Field trips and assemblies
Community building events
